Should I Apologise To My AD .... again!

I received a phone-call from a lady at my authorised dealer a couple of days ago, "Mr "goldminer" you watch has arrived you can come in and collect it"

Great I thought my Tudor Heritage Chronograph has arrived at last ....

I went into the shop this evening and tole them I was here to pick up my Tudor. They looked at me with blank faces .... we haven't seen one in this shop yet and are still waiting for yours. "But you phoned me" I protested "I didn't imagine it". The manager was quite polite and said that if someone had phoned me it was a mistake, and nobody working that evening had phoned me. "Look" I said "I didn't imagine it" .... sorry sir it wasn't us.

On the way back and still a bit pissed the penny dropped .......... my Navitimer, sent for a repair 6 months ago ... that was the watch that had arrived ... I had forgotten about it

So what to do, go in tomorrow and apologise or sneak in on Sunday morning in sunglasses and go to the Repair and Service desk and pick up my Navitimer?

I went in this evening, the manager spotted me "I suppose you have come for your Navitimer?" ....

All's well that ends well ... got the Navitimer on my wrist (after five and a half months away at Breitling and a £435 payment!) It's a really nice A41322 50th Anniversary edition, pictures tomorrow light permitting!

Glad it ended well but I don't see why you would need to apologize.

In fact, they should apologize to you for making you come back. They should have checked to see who phoned you and why, then it would have become apparent that your other watch was in.

Instead they just stood there and insisted no one called you and let you leave without checking.

Yeah you are right, but you know what us Limey's are like

An American buddy of mine referred to us Brits as people who if you stood on their foot would apologise to you "terribly sorry old chap" , if you did it a second time they would apologise "I am sorry my feet must be in your way" but if you did it a third time they would beat the crap out of you

Apologize.

Do you really need someone to tell you that?

I would DEFINITELY apologize--well, only because everyone on TRF seems to be lately!
