Why do women let their watches get like this? i've complimented a few women on their rolexes and generally they were pretty proud of their watches once mentioned and would give me a closer look, only to see all this filth and disgust built up all around the links/in between the bezel and case, etc. One time a lady was wearing a WG president and there was so much grime protruding from the links I thought it was a rusty fake at first lol.

I think it has something to do with skincare products though, lotions and stuff building up on the skin/bracelet over time. fortunately gold/stainless are pretty anti bacterial in nature.

did the metal look kinda gritty after it was cleaned off? i've noticed alot of times you can see slight erosion of the surface under magnification from the acids in the skin eating at the metal. nothing a quick polish doesn't sort, but always thought it was interesting to see the corrosive nature of bodily fluids.

Although this just turns my stomach in the worst way, I'm in because I'm hoping they get it serviced and we get to see the final result. I just wish people would stop quoting the pictures.

I would seriously reconsider a relationship, personal, professional or otherwise, with a person who would wear an article on their body in this condition. I'm hoping that the gunk between the links is just mud or dirt from some particular event, but Bas did say there was an odor. In the event that it's years of caked skin/oil/dirt/soap/grime/lotion etc. then I have no words for the kind of person who would maintain a watch in this condition and I pray for their health.

Pray she doesn't work in the food industry.. It appears it may contain nuts. Unless she'd swallowed it.
