possible new contender

Just saw Garrick Watches from UK with their new S5.

In house movement and 39mm. Spec wise ticks all the boxes.

Now just workout another gift for the wife for me to get this watch

Agreed. I like the S4 as well... actually I might like it more even though its a Swiss-base movement (ETA is it???). Anyway, I don't care Garrick's pieces are very cool!

They look verrrrrrry nice! Man, there are just far 'too many' great pieces being produced by brands all around the world.

I have seen a few pix of the S5 lately, Garrick hasn’t launch the model yet but their list is fully booked already.
Dave ( the owner) is a nice lad, very friendly, told me the demand has been strong for this model. The movement is fully in house and completely created from scratch for the S5, thus some delays due to development challenges.
The S5 is highly customisable for the dial colour, pattern, hands etc… a little bit like Shapiro in US.
More importantly it is a return to traditional watchmaking in Blighty.
A very promising brand to follow.

Dave is a cool egg.

S5 is a total wildcard for the around £20k mark. Specs up there and for me, surpasses a few others in that region. And likely more accessible than some of the other upcoming brands
