Ferrari Pole Position!!!.....directioneng

Well it would take someone in the State of Eddie (Directioneng) i.e. Adelaide, Australia to do something like this.

As you know Eddie (directioneng) is an engineer, and as such one has to hand it to the engineers in Adelaide, Australia for being so smart as to create a power pole that is made to act like a guillotine.

Power poles in Adelaide are designed and built to be very narrow with steel beams on either side. Thus they do tend to slice through motor cars like butter

Thanks a lot Eddie.

This $250,000 Ferrari was found wrapped around pole in a residential area in Adelaide.

Both the driver and his passenger walked free from the wreckage, but were taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

Holy cow!

Those poles are dangerous for motorists and it could be the driver was traveling at an excessive speed.

Crazy.

Well, it had to happen. This guy was travelling a bit faster than the posted 60KPH on October 28th - last year. The five-year-old 360 Modena crashed a few minutes after residents saw it "zinging" past their homes at high speed.
Ms Errey, 45, heard the Ferrari go past about 11.30am and described the noise as "deafening".

"It's like they turned the streets into a racetrack," she said.

Bruce Colwell, 60, saw the Ferrari "whiz" down Walkerville Tce and turn right on to Landsdowne Rd minutes before the crash happened.

"It looked like he (the driver) was doing about 150km/h," he said.

There is no excuse for stupidity IMO.

I'm just happy that they walked away from this and that innocent pedestrians weren't killed by this dummy.

I always have this saying....if you can afford a car like that, you can afford to take it to a race track.

No excuse to be speeding in a car like that on public roads. Crazy!

Pfft. Schumacher, Schmumacher. All of these wannabes and their flappy-paddle gearboxes with too much of daddy's dosh and not enough bloody sense, imagining that they can drive simply because they've spent their ankle-biting years watching Channel Ten. What a load of bollocks - no bloomin' sympathy.

And here I thought my driving around in a red 308 with my Pepsi GMT hanging out the window at a perfect 45 degree angle; while wearing white short shorts was just being cool. Damn, maybe I should have tried Rogaine before the Biden hair plugs.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold the bloomin' phone! Joe, a 308 (especially a carburetted version) and a 360 are chalk and cheese. No matter how Colin Farrell tries, he'll never stack up to Tom Selleck.

There's cool, and there's talk to the hand.

Well, perhaps the driver was being a menace, but the power pole design is also a menace.

Wow............ That could really give you a wedgie..

You know, here in the good ol' US of A, where we have to protect everybody from their own stupidity, the power poles are mounted on "break-away" bolts..

That way, if somebody smacks one, it breaks off and becomes a flying missile, on to the bystanders or drivers in the other lanes...

Pretty sure they will fix it. There are only so many of them out there, so it will be rebuilt.
Good thing the engine is in the back. Saved the important parts.
