Chronomat Chrono GMT B04 back to the mothership again

My Breitling Chronomat Chrono GMT with the B04 movement has now gone back to Breitling twice for Warranty work. Honestly frustrated at that fact. An odd issue with this watch was that it was always stiff to wind. I was told this is normal by the AD when I bought it. Fast forward 2 years the stem broke internally and the watch went back. Now 2 years on from that repair it’s getting stiff again and I am sending it back to Breitling again. Fortunately Breitling has a 5 year warranty on this movement. I have 6 months left on my warranty.

I had read horror stories about this movement and had hoped that I was not going to be a victim. But now my hopes are dashed and the watch is back at the mothership for the second time.

Anyone else have B04 issues and a happy ending? I need a bit of positivity to make me feel better. This watch is my favorite of my collection.

I can't help on the B04, but I had stem issues about a 2 months after getting my Chronomat Airborne with the B01 about 3 years ago. It went back and was fixed within a month and it's run great ever since. I've got my second watch with the B01 in my Superocean Heritage Chrono and it's been great so far.

Sorry you all went through this. I was thinking of getting a Unitime today in fact. Makes me wonder now. These watch companies should have to replace a watch that fails with in a year is my opinion.

That there's a fine watch. Pity about the trouble you're having with it. Having to use the warranty at all isn't good.

I considered that Unitime today, I really did. Ended up with a Tudor. The crown was just so difficult to wind. I wore it in the store a bit, left for a bit to get some cash to make the purchase, tried it again, wore it some. Just couldn't get past how difficult the Breitling was to wind. Wasn't a cheap watch at $9800 something Canadian, I really wanted to like it, just couldn't because of the winding mechanism.

Got mine just today NOS - never worn - B&P

Had 2 B01 ago - one trouble with not resetting to zero at the second hand after using Chronoghraph.
The 2nd one had some issues and Whole watch stopped always at 18 seconds by using the Cronoghraph ...
Both where used ones 5&6 Years old .

Hope this new one with B04 ( which is the B01 plus GMT function ) will do better !
Love the design and this browne dial is stunning.

BTW does anybody know how many parts the B04 movement contains ?
(B01 is 237 parts )
