Canada visit pt. 1 - Montreal

Wife and I visited spent Veterans Day Weekend in Montreal and Quebec City and as usual, I brought along the trusty x100s (also the D90, but only used it for a few photos).

Ended up making it to the 3 restaurants in Montreal that we had hoped to see - Monarque, Barroco and Dinette Triple Crown; all were amazing for different reasons. BOHO and Nhau Bar were great spots as well. Hope you enjoy the series!

One of my favorite cities. I travel there at least once a month. Only live 1 1/2hrs from there. Amazing restaurants, great people and the night life is great. Try to catch a Montreal Canadiens game, the atmosphere is incredible. Also, some good spots for watch shopping. Have fun

Wow, you guys certainly get around!
I’ve been to Montreal and enjoyed it very much. Never been to Quebec City but it’s on my short list.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you!

Barroco was outstanding. Had the short rib, and it was one of the best examples I've had. Ambiance is great as well; wife's soup came in a squash, so that was interesting...in a good way!

God I love Montreal. It just does so many things well without the overstimulation that other larger cities with a comparable dining scene carry. Thanks for sharing

We've now been to Vancouver, Montreal and Quebec City, and we're realizing how great (and different!) the country is when compared to what's here in America. I think we're opening up to seeing what else Canada has to offer.

Nice pics! I really enjoyed the vibe around Montreal when I visited many years ago. I love visiting and exploring Canada. Enough for several trips.

As the late Anthony Bourdain said - "A visit to Schwartz's is a must. You can’t not do this when you come to Montreal.

It's the Fuji x100s. About 5 years old now, and just waiting for the newest refresh before I scoop the new version up. Absolutely love this camera over my Nikon DSLR.
