How long after first purchase should you wait before asking for another watch (sub)?

I've purchased two watches from my local AD, within the past year. Both were non-Rolex but were within this general price bracket.

Throughout the looking/investigating/buying process I became a "regular" of this store and have built-up good connections with the staff and owner. During a casual conversation I mentioned my desire for the Kermit... the owner walked over to his computer and entered my name into the waitlist right then and there. I was thrilled!!
