You've seen how good looking and how legible the FPJ is.

Why would applied markers be better? The FPJ dial is anything but cheap.

Obviously, no one needs a rationale for subjective taste, but..

Personally, I need a seconds hand for my work and I like seeing the watch moving as I watch, that's my hill to die on here, so not casting aspersions.

By far the cleanest PC out there! However applied numerals require additional work such as cutting out. Polishing and applying. It's the small touches that make something haute horology. If PP can do it on their retro which is hundreds of numerals only mm in length I just expected more from FPJ other than a quick print job!

This is the best thread on TRF. If I ever had the money to have a high end luxury watch, it would come from this company. Absolutely drop dead gorgeous.

Love 'em....but I hear horror stories about service costs. Anyone send theirs in for a tune-up lately?

They are in line with PP, AP, etc. Maybe someone had Rolexes and then bought an FPJ tourbillon? The service costs are higher for complications with any company.

And...if FPJ has updated the movement (which he does because he is a genius perfectionist), then the service will include an update to your movement at no extra charge (and, of course, if you have an old movement you want kept just so, then they can do that, too).

I heard 2500 USD for a simple 3 hander, the CB for example, not sure how accurate that is, but if it is, then I don't think one second that PP takes 2500 on a time only Calatrava.

cool aspect the updated movement

You reckon the Voutilainen will be cheap to service?

No but it's every ten years, and costs way more to start with, so if the price is really 2500 for the CB, yes I do find that expensive

Who’s to say the FPJs need serviced within 10 years too?
Their price also includes a replacement strap and a light polish – the full monty refinish is a separate charge, and from memory, is $1200 or more.

Price is $1500 for CB service but I think a full polish is separate. They do throw in a new strap though.
