Today's the day!

Will finally be able to swing by my AD to decide if I want the new Bluesy or a two-tone Yachtmaster 40 with black dial. I am beyond excited. I will post pics once it's in hand -- or rather, on my wrist!

Yep! I had another thread on this and that was the near-universal sentiment and certainly the way I am leaning. But we shall see. :)

Both stunning pieces. However,, when I saw the new Bluesy at my AD two weeks ago, my jaw dropped. I never saw such a beautiful blue dial before, in the flesh. The blue DJ41, OP41, YM40 and BB58 look good, but that Bluesy dial to me is on another level. I had to take it home!

That's what my AD said, too. It's the first and only one they have received, so I am grateful to get it. I have a blue dial DJ that I will likely be selling because I can't imagine ever reaching for it over the Bluesy.

New Bluesy

There is something undoubtedly incredible about the look and feel of the new Bluesy. I know it's all very individual personal preference, and many many people with previous Bluesys will continue to cherish their pieces, but for me personally have tried the watch many times and just could not pull the trigger.
Why, because it is so similar to previous models but it's got something special and I really believe when this gets out and about you will see what I am trying to say! Anyway consider myself very lucky. Best of health to all...

I can see where you are coming from with this statement, it's one of the reasons why I bought a white dial DJ41 as my daily wear instead of having two blue dial watches, however, the blue tones between the two are quite different, and once the newness of the Bluesy wears off, you will be glad to still have the DJ41 if you want to wear something more dressy or less flashy.

I'd keep your DJ41 along with the Bluesy.
