I think it's going to be rarer to come by these days. Was talking to an AD I previously purchased from and he said that they can't even order day date 40s anymore.

Just look at second hand prices. You could pick up a DD40 For 28-30k. Now they are asking for MSRP (eg. David SW, etc). You would save tax going this route though

You can always ask if you feel comfortable with it

Why don't you ask your AD???? What's the difference if someone tells you yes or no on this thread. The only thing that matter is what the person/AD you are dealing with is willing to do or not do.........

Different for each AD and also depending on relationship with certain AD's. But universal rule is you don't get what you don't ask for.
