It's a bit same old, same old. A touch of colour or even white wouldn't go amiss.

Agreed, impressive collection but a lil color would be nice.

I always see if there is a Speedmaster when it’s said to be a “serious” collection because it’s mandatory to qualify as serious.

Nice collection. Whatever floats your boat. Personally a little more color would be cool.

Green Hulk
Black Speedmaster
Blue AP
White Patek

Just food for thought....

The Speedy has become a bit of a 'collection cliche' imo, perhaps as a default Daytona alternative.

Nice enough collection though, if you're into black dials. No offense to the owner!

Nice starter collection for sure but a "dream" would be:

15400 Royak Oak => 15407ST Skeleton RO
Submariner 114060 => 126610LV Submariner Cermit
Omega Speedmaster Plexi => Gold MOONWATCH Apollo 11 50th anniversary edition
5170G Patek => 5370P Split

There u go, thats DREAM.

Dream Collection

Love it. I have the Submariner and Speedmaster, but the Patek and AP are out of my price range, so I never even dream about those. I’d settle for a Datejust for my 3rd watch.

Well one should have both but the speedmaster definitely has a more iconic history attached to it than any other timepiece in my opinion. More then the Daytona. But like I said there’s nothing wrong with owning both. I do.

If we go with the same models (5170/15400/SubC/Speedy), if the 5170 was 5170P with that blue dial instead, 15400 was white dial version, SubC was the Bluesy and the Speedy was the way it is, it'd have way more color. Otherwise it's a bit monotonous.

Ouch - some of the comments.

It’s a nice collection

I agree it is a wonderful collection. But some of the comments, maybe worded harshly, aren't wrong either. Lots of black. Still, well rounded for a 4 watch and ticks a bunch of boxes. I like it.

It’s nice and some money, but kind of boring to me. To each his or her own though

I do like the basic coverage though

Beater- Sub
Chrono- Patek
3rd Wheel- AP

This is exactly how I would piece together a 3 piecer,

can add a TT GMT M2 or some sort of gold dress watch. A little boring on the colors.

One benefit of this collection is that few friends would notice that you are alternating four different watches, so if you want to fly under the radar this is a good collection.

What a place TRF is. Only here are a Rolex, an Omega, an AP and a Patek are considered a boring, stale collection.

I think it’s a great collection of some icons of 20th century watch design. Very influential models, each with their own important history. I like it!

I'd be content with 'just' that 5170G

I do agree that some of the comments are harsh. It is a wonderful collection and certainly something for mere mortals to aspire. I might change out the 15500 for a 15202 but other than that, I would gladly trade my collection for that one.

I agree. I’d like to see some of these non boring collections these people have.
