Hate the nickname. Interesting to see that at this point in time, if you search “batgirl” in the for sale section, not one listing comes up. That tells me everything about this absurd, pointless nickname.

Nothing like a "batgirl" POLL to bring out and see who the TROLL's are!

Don’t like nicknames and use only for identification but “batgirl” took nicknames to a new low!

126710BLNR with Jubilee Bracelet Vs. "batgirl"

I have a feeling Batgirl will fade quickly because...

The original BLNR has been (in my and many others opinion) the freshest and best looking Rolex to come out in years ... maybe decades. Everybody loves the BLNR.

But when Rolex changed it to jubilee, many saw the change and were afraid their beloved BLNR was diminished — by nature, people are resistant to change.

In pictures, the original BLNR looks amazing. But in pictures the jubilee version looks “different.”

However, when you see it in person it takes the original BLNR to the next level. I have a client with the BLNR and when we compared his to my new BLNR, he asked me for my salesman ‘s name in hopes of getting one. I didn’t realize how much nicer it looks until compared side-by-side to the previous version.

It’s a safe bet as more hit the streets that the watch public will quickly drop any negative connotations of the “Batgirl” and recognize it as the more appealing version.

My wife says the jubilee makes it look like an old man’s watch. She prefers mine the way it is with the oyster bracelet. Her dad rocks a 70’s vintage gold DD on jubilee so that might have something to do with it.

Sir, echo my thoughts precisely! In fact, I couldn't have worded it better.

Don’t let her see the new one in person beside yours - while the original version is gorgeous, the new one is even hotter.

I’ve worn mine “out” once and two girls (one a store clerk at Sephora - I was with my GF buying makeup, and the other was a girl at the music fest we attended) remarked on my “beautiful watch.” Both girls were in mid-twenties.

A client of mine (interestingly a professional ping pong player who owns the original BLNR) saw mine and now wants the new version - he is 28.

I’m telling you, when you see this one in person, you’ll realize Rolex made the right decision style wise and mechanically in the update of the BLNR.

I know, I know!! I realised that right after I hit 'send'. Believe me, I could probably do an off-Broadway one man show performing all the dialog from Stripes, Animal House, Vacation....

If I happen upon one of those 70's comedies on TV, no matter where in the film, I'll always watch the entire film. Even if I have the DVD.

I guess it's because I've been swallowing a lot of aggression....and a lot of pizzas!!
