My New Daytona!....And Red Oyster perpetual

Well... after 2 years of waiting I finally got allocated my very own white gold Rolex Daytona.

I would be interested in any comments from other Daytona owners (and pics), on their ownership experience. I got to see some amazing Patek phillipe watches too and took some pics too. Would be interested in the comments on the Pateks too.

I’m loving the Daytona so far. A little smaller than I expected, but just beautiful and sporty sexy. The chrono pushers are really nice to use, and easy to unscrew. I thought it would be a faff to screw the chrono pushers, but it’s actually really easy. It’s actually a joy to unscrew and push the buttons. The chrono sub dial hands On the right give an audible ping when they click along, it almost has a warm musical note to it? I’ve not waited with the chronograph on for long enough to hear if the left hand sub dial thing does the same, but it sounds really nice, and quality.

The oyster flex is good too. It’s really sporty, and muted.. so you can get away with wearing it all the time. And not everyone notices it. But you can tell really if you look closer as the White gold is really shiny. But it’s not like rose gold which is really loud.

I also bought a cheeky new release red coral oyster perpetual! it looked really sexy in person so could not resist! Would love to hear the comments about that too!

Nice , but 2 years wait for a white gold Daytona? It's usually the easier PM model ...

Congrats OP.

I was thinking the same on Daytona white gold on OF wait. I have seen that same one in cases here in Florida.

Congrats on the purchases. I am surprised they brought out the Pateks (other than the 5172g). I recently purchased the 5172g and absolutely love it.

Wear yours in good health. I have expressed interest in the coral as well at my AD. Hope to have one soon.

Since you asked ... really not a fan of that orange one! But I have quite a large collection myself and your other watches are inspiring to me, you’ve got very good taste And it must be a joy putting on one of those every day.

Honest question do you really think you will wear the orange OP much I would find it hard to make time for with the others.

Love the WG Daytona goo congrats!

These are very hard to get at msrp. The white gold OF is very popular. I'm surprised it made it in a case at ad.

I don't think the Pateks are his, just got to try them on.

I hated the new OP's at first but actually really like that one, could definitely see myself wearing it.

I love the OP. I think these colors are going to be a hit. I actually have a pink OP36 coming to me soon. I opted to have it engraved with a personalization on the case back. The pink dial has a very Miami Vice look to it and since I love the 1980's and that show, i am all about the funky pink color on that OP

Great pick on the OF Daytona!

Was that 5164R for sale at the store or just brought out from the back to play with? :-)

So how does the Coral Red OP look in natural light? It looked more orange to me under the AD lights at the trunk show I attended. I really want it to look more red!
