Sub date incoming

Thought I would post some pics for people to see how the new one wears on a 7.15 in wrist. I have to say I think for my size wrist the proportions are spot on. I am on the fence with regards to the new Kermit. I think I am simply too used to seeing the 16610lv and definitely echo others sentiments that the new one would look better with a racing green colored bezel rather than the old one. That said the are all great and I really appreciate what Rolex did with these little tweaks.

Looks awesome on you (both the LV and the LN). I just got the new LV a couple of weeks ago (sold my Hulk previously), and agree with your wish re: the bezel. Here's a curveball, though - I wish they would've kept the sunray green dial, and given it a black bezel. The Hulk dial is gorgeous...I just couldn't live with the clash between the two different greens.

PS - it's perfectly proportioned for your wrist - congrats!!

Thank you so much! I agree the hulk dial is spectacular. It would be cool with a black bezel.

I’m with you, I don’t like the two greens but that sunburst green was amazing.

A fellow Deadhead, I see: “dressed myself in green.” I can’t tell whether I’d love the green bezel or it would just be too much ‘look’ for me, but it does dazzle in your picture.

Thank you everyone. Just to clarify I only picked up the LN. I am waiting to see if they actually do make the LV bezel color darker like they did on the ceramic pepsi. I am really loving this new sub though. They nailed the new case design. On a separate note, all of us watch/Grateful Dead aficionados should really try to meet up if Dead and Co can get it rolling next summer.

It’s beyond me how anyone would disagree the new proportions aren’t drastically better! Great pickup!

Probably many of those people who recently picked up the old version and people who may or may not have financial ability to pick up another Rolex in the near term or have the pull with their AD to get a second Sub in such short time frame.

Of course, everyone’s perception of what looks “good” is different so I’m sure there are some people who think the super case with large lugs look better or they can’t tell the difference or they don’t care.

Yeah that’s true. I wouldn’t want to admit either in any of those situations.

I Personally think Rolex did a really, really good job on this.

I would say drastically is the wrong term, the new dimensions may be better I don’t know as not seeing in person until October, but as I have said on other posts I will not trade my 11 for a 12 as I see the changes as minor but may pick up a 12 to add if one is available on viewing, to most people a Sub is a Sub unless you’re on TRF.

Very beautiful, I prefer the black as well, and in some angles in the photos above you'd swear it was a five digit at a glance.
Huge congrats.

I have both 11 & 12 versions, they all look so good to me.

For size wise, I hardly see the difference in size when I put it on my wrist.
