Anyone else with similar opinions? Did I just build up the YG in my head to be more than what it is?
To put it simple, no.

The question is hard to ask to a crowd, because it depends of each individual's wrist. On someone with a suntanned wrist, the YG will be in a closer range of the color spectrum from the skin color (hot color), and it's actually not the YG itself which will pop out but the steal, by contrast, which is more in the cold range of the color spectrum. This will allow the human eye to differentiate more easily the two tones.
For someone with a different wrist color, or just the same person in winter instead of summer, that will lead to a different color separation ability for the eye - or color contrast.
So yes, the TT will be louder but in certain occasions more than others, due to contrast.

I may also add a note that many people are slightly color blind without even knowing it. Color blindness is not about red and green only, it can also be very subtle on other colors. For those (like me) who were in aviation before you may have taken that test and know about it. But a large portion of the population never had such test and don't even know that maybe they are less sensitive to - say - pink than yellow or other colors that they perceive differently.
That may also explain all the different opinions here :-)

I'm with you. Most comfortable in deck shoes, polo shirt, shorts and a Sub LB

Anyone who has spent any time on this forum must be aware that

a) SS watches are hardly ever accused of being tasteless.

b) TT watches attract a bit of criticism.

c) YG attract a lot of criticism.

It is all very subjective but YG is a controversial topic.

Regards

Mick

Right right. If you keep telling yourself the TT is flashier and stands out more, you could make yourself believe it and keep the cash in the bank. Truth is: YG over TT any day all day. I should know, I had both ... And there's no doubt, the 6 digits are bolder and make more of a statement than the 5 digits, especially when we are talking YG !

Would you say a black dial GMT master 2 ceramic 2 tone would draw a lot of glances/attention?

Ive heard alot of ppl say TT especially the 116613LB gets the more attention out of all watches.

I think it may be due to the Gold/Silver/Blue combo. The contrast attracts the eye.

Personally I would rather a full gold 116618LB than an 13LB but I also must say that my TT gets way more looks and compliments compared to my DD40.

My SS Rollies get ZERO compliments so if your under the radar guy just get SS. LOL

I like the Love bracelet, but perhaps it would look better on your other wrist?

My only watches are two tone and I use them as a daily wearer. No problems at all! I would say all yg is more flashy than two tone
