About to pull the trigger on a PAM 233

But still a bit concerned that it might be too big for my 6.5ish wrist. Here are some wrist shots for ur reference. You guys can be honest, I'm a grown man.

PAM 380
This watch is 45mm in diameter but much slimmer that Luminors with short wire lugs.

BP FF
Another 45mm but with short lugs again.

A Sub C for good measure.

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, the 380 looks the best!

All great watches. The Pam 233 going to be great on your wrist, it’s one of the best Panerai ever made. Good luck with your choice

Couple of things to bear in mind:

1. Taking wristies with the camera half an inch above the watch makes it look ten times bigger than it really is. Have someone take a photo of the watch on your wrist from about six feet away, then you get a real world perspective of what it really looks like.

2. If you can wear the 380, you can wear a 233. Fact.

3. The domed crystal on a 1950 Luminor makes the watch wear smaller than it really is. My 737 is the same case as my 359 and 689 (1950 Luminor) and it wears smaller than the other two because of the domed crystal. If you’re buying from an AD or boutique, try a 311 on and you’ll see what I mean.

Good luck

How tall are you?

I also have a 6.5" wrist, I'd love a 44mm PAM, but I think its too big to pull off, since I am only 5'5" tall. I think taller people can pull it off better.

My teenage daughter tells me it's a no-go for me every time I try one on.

I was in your same seat just a week ago. I pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier. The important thing about that 233 is that since its a manual wind, it actually sits closer to your wrist so will wear smaller than a 44mm Auto. To me the domed crystal sealed the deal as it really compliments the size of the watch, and I've had zero complaints.

The ones you posted all look good. A Pam is supposed to look big.

You can definitely do the 233 (or the 380, for that matter). You're going to love it, I promise.

Thank you gents. I placed the order and should be receiving it next week. Will be sure to post a celebratory wrist shot.

I have small wrists but I love my 233. I wear it because I love it and am not too concerned about how anyone else thinks it looks on me. I have to say though, I have more compliments on this watch than any other Rolex I have worn.

If I were to sell my Hulk, I would go for the 233. The 233 is definitely on my bucket list. I subscribed to this one. Can’t wait for the pics. My wrist is 6.75” so I’m curious to see a slightly smaller wrist with a Panerai.

The eagle has landed! Without further ado, here are some wrist shots and one with the group. Thanks to everyone on the forum who gave me valuable advice and insights. I am really going to enjoy this baby.

Close up shot so the watch does look kinda big on my wrist.

The lugs don't overhang from farther away.

Group shot with the rest of the gang.

For those of you on the verge, fire away. It won't disappoint. Cheers!
