My first Rolex was a DJ36 116234 that I received as a wedding gift from my in-laws. About 5 years ago, I bought a pre owned YM 116622 from a friend that wanted to upgrade to an AP.

Right before Baselworld 2016, I bought in to the hype and put my name down for the black Daytona C. At that time, my Rep said I was number 6 on the list.
A year passes and Baselworld 2017 comes around. At the point the itch for a new watch hasn't been taken care, so I put my name down for the Sky Dweller white dial. I text my Rep right when the watch is announced and get on the list as number 2.

Months pass and the holidays get close, I think to myself that I am never going to get a desirable new release. Well 3 days before Christmas I get the call, the SD had finally arrived! I rush over as fast as holiday traffic would allow.

At the boutique the Rep is working on sizing the SD for me, when the store manager comes over to visit. She says that today was my lucky day and that the Daytona C had arrived as well. If you could imagine the look on my wife's face when she told us.....

Long story short, here are my new babies

Thanks everyone. I am surprised the Sky Dweller is getting more wrist time. It feels beefier. Thought the Daytona was going to be the everyday beater and that’s just not the case.
