Another interview with the new CEO

https://revolutionwatch.com/audemars...ceo-interview/

More than a few corporate platitudes, but also some interesting nuggets. I like this one:
Q: "Sporty doesn’t mean it has to be big. You did great mid-sized Triple Calendar Offshores with colorful dials in the past."
A: "I can only say hang in there and be patient."

They should just straight re-release the Triple Calendar.

Also found the emphasis on complications interesting, and a little worrisome, giving the starting point for QP and Tourbillon prices.

And finally, good that they realized the strength of the Code as a platform for new ideas and complications.

Great interview!

Like the comment about a new QP movement, as well as the possibility of new Starwheels...I think we are in a fun ride in 2025!

This was hilarious... and the place caption from kingflum

Their PR and people who helped with answers messed up the ceramic and gold a little bit but they will get it...

Like also the part with the ROO... as good as it is at 43mm, the 43 and 44 ROOs are pretty boring comparing to 42mm line.

All you gotta do is allocate a blue ceramic AP to Wei Koh and then you are legend ;)

Thanks for sharing the video! I prefer smaller sized watches and hope to see more mid-sized AP soon!

Nice one!

The camouflage gold and ceramic comment...is something that I've heard is coming in the future, as well as other pretty cool material combos. Just hope whatever is newly developed is not as brittle as carbon forge was - outstanding concept and look but horrible durability...

He is daddy money crybaby... ideal specimen of d riders and hypeboys FHB used so well to build his ego... and the company revenue to be honest...

Ilaria might be a good one... imagine AP CEO is ex P&G exec who likes pickleball... so wrong that it must be good...

The more I read/learn about Ilaria, the more I like her and think that she will steer AP right.

I appreciate her interest and focus on complications. Just hope that they include some more “pedestrian” varieties like dual time, GMT, triple calendar, etc.

I feel like the last few years AP really focused on higher end comps at the expense of some other buyers.

So far, she seems to be made of the right stuff. At first I was a little disappointed that we weren't hearing from her right away, but now I get it. There needed to be a space after FHB. Excited to see what is coming in the next few years as it will likely take some time before we see meaningful evidence of her leadership on on the product side. Short term outside of product, I think customer experience could be see some immediate impact.

Great points. The lack of core (as I think of them) complications has been a gap over the recent years. Both the RO and Code templates offer opportunities to rectify this, hopefully.

I think its also nice her IG is locked and only have like 900 followers.

Maybe wil change if the AP social media department takes over.
