Old Omega Seamaster problem
Hello
everybody , I recently bought an old Omega Seamaster Quartzer on Ebay and I'm having problems with it now and hope that maybe someone here who knows about it will find it. Unfortunately, the battery is dead or there is no battery in the clock, so it is currently not running. When the crown is pulled, only the hour hand moves, which is probably normal (in order to adjust the minute hand you have to press a pointed object into the crown, then the second hand should start to chatter quickly). Problems: -The seconds and minute hands do nothing, does this feature only work if a battery is installed? It can not really impress anything in the crown, that may have broken in and sunk too far -The drawn crown must really pull out to put the hour, by itself, it often slips in again and with pulled crown she eggs slightly in turns, is there perhaps the wave? -The hour hand does not run really smoothly when you adjust it, it runs, then jumps a bit, then it runs forward a bit and then jumps, about once an hour, which you introduce. -I read the original batteries in these watches are no longer because they contained mercury .. contemporary (No. 329?) Should be installed by means of adapters, someone has experience with it? Costing? I actually really like the watch and I would like to keep it .. or does that sound like it's not financially repairable anymore? The seller has set it as an original, flawlessly running and only with signs of use (commercial even) .. How should I proceed? Many thanks and best wishes to all, Jay9 |
