Firefighter/Paramedic for L.A. County Fire Department assigned to Marina Del Rey station. My station is approximately 4 miles north of LAX international airport. We have the only fire boat in the County area and our district covers from Catalina island all the way to Malibu. Marina Del Rey was the biggest man made marina in the world until Dubai. The station is somewhat quiet and is very close to home. I will retire out of here since I only have five years left. Most of my time was spent at fire station #3 in East Los Angeles which had one of the busiest Paramedic Squads in the U.S. I did 17 years in East LA before finally getting smart and slowing down. I wear my Smurf to work because it’s slow and everyone just thinks it’s SS. I would have never worn it to my former station. Being so close to the airport, we get a lot of firefighters from all over the world who stop in to say hi and swap T shirts. It’s really nice to talk to them and find out we are all the same. Whether you work in Hamburg Germany or Chicago, we all have the same outlook on the job. Stay safe everyone

Retired from the professional sports industry. Not sure why the pictures randomly rotate 90 degrees on occasion, but other times they don't.
