You’re having trouble getting a Tudor Pepsi? I’ve seen them in the case, although on strap. What has the world come to lol

All three of the no date subs are 94010. That reference had many different iterations. For more info on the sub your interested in check out the sticky in the vintage section “Tudor black bay ancestor” tread |

I could see Tudor introducing a Pelagos 69 or Pelagos Submariner that would pay homage to the 7021 sub from 1969. Roulette date wheel, 39mm case and cyclops. They could mimic the bb58 case design, slim it down and keep the Pelagos crown guards and that way it stays within the current lineup and they’re not really adding another line of dive watches.
I could see it being a numbered edition, too, like the LHD is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’d buy a modern snow flake. Concidentally there are two vintage (feels odd saying 1980 is vintage) blue dial Tudor subs for sale in the classified section of this site now. I’d like the cyclops, blue dial and lollipop handset. Would buy one right away.

Tudor gives me hope in contrast to the blandness of Rolex.

Lollipop would solve the Rolex keeping the Mercedes hands issue.

Snowflakes are cool. Mercedes + Swords are also cool. I personally can live with both.

The REFS 7016 and 7021 were introduced in 1969 exactly 50 years ago oooh....

Same 39mm case diameter as a BB58. Also the 20th Anniversary of when the sub was discontinued in '99 this year. Could the new model take inspiration from older Subs and combine it with either BB or a Pelagos into a hybrid of sorts?

Really excited to see what is announced.
I think it will be a sub, with snowflake hands and bb58 case.

I'd love to see a Tudor sub make a comeback.
That said, why is that the speculation based on the Instagram photo / post by Tudor? The triangle 12 o'clock marker is used on the Black Bay, the Pelagos, etc....?? |

That picture is oriented like they are showing a 9 o'clock triangle marker. As in previous Subs.

I think it’s a ho-axe. I think the picture is intentionally rotated simply to brew interest. As much as I would love to see the Tudor sub return, red and blue, I’m betting it’s just a new 58 variant.

Not trying to ruin the party or anything... I don't think it's going to happen..
It will kill the 116610 Sub instantly... |

I feel whatever they come up with it will be with the snowflake hand without the cyclops. This in someway actually might mean Rolex itself will come up with a new Submariner reference as it seems to do with Tudor as evident in both releasing Pepsi last year.

Only thing that will kill the 116610 is Rolex discontinuing it, which will never happen.

It will definitely be discontinued one day, and hopefully replaced with a more proportionate case on the lines of the Sea-Dweller.

Just one question that never crossed my mind before: How can the old Tudor case be 39mm if it used the Rolex Submariner 40mm case? Hmm...
