5711 vs 5990
Hello guys! I about to get my first PP and need advice what to do, go for 5711/1A or 5990/1A. Both are ~similar price ~45. I not see them in RL for now. Most for casual style. I just worry that 5711 bad invest fot this price?

5990 is a steal at that price and 5711 is imho not worth secondary.

If you truly like both the same, then the 5990 no doubt. Make sure this seller is legit tho at that price, esp in your part of the world.

Couldn’t afford a 5980 at the time so I got a 5711. 5990 wasn’t a thing back then.
Regardless, I’m sure you realize that the 5990 in question is a scam. Nobody sells them at that price.

5990 it’s the best choice in my opinion.
If you buy it from AD it’s a good deal and 5990 it’s more accessible. 5711 don’t worth IMO secondary price. I can understand 5980 SS because it’s discounted but 5711 sure no. |

If you can get the 5990 at 45k, seems like a steal and you should definitely do it. The secondary price for 5990 appears to be trading at double of that.
I will still get the 5711 though, because that is my dream watch. |

Yep that was me -the picture of the piece shows 2 60 min counters at 12 and 6 o clock upon a close look.Supposed to have 60 min counter at 6 and 31 day at 12. Seller was using name “gemmonster” , real name Mohammad. Supposedly wanted money to pay for someone’s medical bills - ha! Shipped from Sri Lanka. You won’t buy a 5990 for $45000 USD - if you try to protect yourself - use pay pal , face to face, AMX - do not EVER wire before getting piece checked out. Wish you best. If that is your budget Op spend a little more and get 5711 from gray unless you can get one from AD . James in San Antonio Tx.

You write you looking from 1-2 years to buy one?! I think if you put at an AD to the waiting list you should be having till now. In January 2018 in Madrid AD tell me for a 5990 I need to wait maximum one year. When we talk about 5711 then he tell me he can’t even to put me on the list because the list are closed! So, Mr. James I think it’s time to do something not only look to see if you will find at AD 5990. I received my 5980 1AR-001 in less then one year at retail price!! Just do it!! Good luck! |
