Any chance of him taking the same photo again with the later model on the left? That should dispel the lighting/angle argument.

Left is a white gold BLRO bezel. Right is a new color. Interesting to see if the white gold BLRO changes as well.

Whilst I agree they look very different many people have proven how different the same watch can look at different angles.

Looking at that cyclops on each, the watch on the left is angled left and the right watch is angled right. Is that enough to catch the light differently, yes but to the extent we see, I don’t know.

The only way to shut people up is to get the two in an identical position (off the bracelets) then swap them round but it’s all ridiculous and I’m an idiot for perpetuating it too.

I will say the mk1 is a great investment and will be worth way more money... sorry, couldn’t resist.

Highly unlikely. It's probably the lighting effect.

How about this? This one is taken on the same day with different angle by my friend.

I currently hold the MK2 and he has the MK1, it is very easy to observe the difference when you compare it in person.

I've got a hulk, the bezel colour can easily change quite a lot on different lighting and angle. I think its also true for the blro.

I hope you all are right, the darker really makes a difference.

I prefer the darker coloured one. Much more handsome.

Did you read a single post in the thread before posting?

To me this confirms that Rolex made a subtle, running change in color. Definitely prefer the look of the “newer” bezel.

I was skeptical reading through this whole thread. But after seeing many images it definitely appears Rolex has tweaked the bezel colors and made them more true red and blue and eliminated the pastel pinkish and purpleish hue. DavidSW handles tons of these watches on a daily basis. I would love to hear his opinion on this subject.

Me too. I also cant see the mk1 being "worth more" in this case either in the future because the colors are just wrong. I much prefer the darker bezel.

Well, this gives me a reason to double up. I’ll put my mark 1 away and rock the mark II when it comes in.

Like the new colors much better. Don't see how anyone can doubt they changed it based on the pics in this thread.

In the photo, not only the blue is darker or more blue. The red is also darker, which could explain why the blue turns also darker.

I am willing to leave this case open until further proof.

Now this, most certainly the two bezels come from two different production runs. The second production run is darker in that case. A while back I posted photos of different reds or burgundy on a 16710 coke aluminum bezel that I received, so it is not out of question that indeed there might exist differences.

He might have or not. However one thing is certain. The watch closer to the light source will always show fainter colors.

I would get rid of that light bezel right away at a discount and wait for the darker one, as it will depreciate fast as soon as people begin to take note of the difference

Be interesting to see what bezel a 2019 WG blro comes with. Also of this is why they appear to have discontinued the blue dial version

I am undecided if there are two versions, but I want to say it is certainly possible Eric is being sincere and not motivated by any personal greed but also wrong on this. Even experts are fallible.

Also, I prefer the alleged MK1 dial with more pastel coloring. Unique and interesting.

I have compared the new and old bezels myself and the real one is indeed different. Darker and stronger blue and red!

Hopefully we can get some legit studio photos or something soon to put the nail in the coffin for the non believers.

If true mark 1 bezel watches will be worth 10x more in 30 years.

But I thought everyone hated the color!

That will be a whole different debacle though since we don't have serial number ranges to match up with production anymore. Maybe they'll open up their archives by then, but I doubt it.
