5196 discontinued?

I visited today an US PP AD to try the 5196, the watch is gorgeous but they only have one reference that is not my preferred one.
I asked them to check with PP the availability of the reference that I prefer. They told me that after checking with PP the response that they have received is that 5196 has been discontinued and there is no availability on any reference.
I have not heard of this before, any one have further information about this?

Thank you!

It is still listed as a current model on the PP website.

Patek is phasing in new movements in the Calatrava line. So this makes sense. I am surprised that a new model was not released at Basel. So your information may be off just a little and may actually be there are no watches in production at the moment to allow production of other models and move existing inventory of 5196 at the dealers.

Seems strange, the latest Patek magazine has an article about the 5196

Hello, I went to 2 ADs today, no one knew of that discontinuation.
One of them had the reference in another state and the other one was expecting to receive them in May.
Tomorrow I will be visiting other ADs and I will report what they tell me.

I visited today another 2 ADs, they have not heard of any discontinuation on that reference.
It seems that the first AD got different information for whatever reason...
