The AD taught me to push the leather part right below the bottom of the Patek logo. There's a metal plate part of the deployment under the leather. They said under no circumstances should I press the center of the logo.

Worth noting that if you fit a deployant then the strap should be changed for best fit as the ideal lengths are different and the two halves of the strap should be swopped around when fitting to the watch.

I prefer the deployant over the pin buckle. I changed it for my 5205r, but like Russell mentioned above, you may need to adjust the strap for the perfect fit.

If it comes with tang and buckle leave it like that, the same if it come with the Calatrava clasp leave it like that. I like to have my watches exactly how the manufacturer intended

Don’t follow this idea at all, pushing the leather below the logo doesn’t engage the clap fully - just tried it on several pieces. The cross is designed to be used for opening and closing.

I don't care for the added bling of the deployant patek logo on the underside of the watch, but there's no denying it's more comfortable and helps to avoid dropping the watch.

What is the point of this thread?
You either want a deployment clasp or not....why does it matter? |

The piece would of broken at the lugs, the pins are the weakest point and common to tang and deployant. |
