Tbh I love the weight, I don’t actually like light watches.

The blue dial with the rose good is a perfect combination. To me this model far exceeds anything that has been released (so far) for 2019.

I think after the latest releases the demand for this model will continue to increase. Then it will become the waiting list game!

When I was at my AD picking up my wife 5167R a few days back, I saw a 5980AR waiting for the new owner to pick up. My AD said could get me a piece if I was keen. Hence did a quick research here on 5980AR and wonder how the TT would fit into ones lifestyle. I am not a big fan of the TT in general (had a Rolex GMT and that did not last 1 week) but the blue on the 5980AR is amazing.

Do owners here wear it in casual or formal setting?

When researching, I saw the 5980R which is stunning. Wonder should I ask for that instead? I do already have a YG 116508 Green, so wonder if I should just have a bit of diversity to go with TT instead.

5980/1ar

So I wear the watch for either casual or formal.

The blue dial is simply awesome. There are some posts about what watch has the best blue dial, to me there is no competition, 5980 all the way!!

Get it. My AR isnt due to arrive for some time (I'm guessing 3-5 years) "but they will try their best" - as quoted by the AD.

Really intrigued by this watch.....

.....and it wasn't even on the radar until recently. A friend sent me a pic, and wow.... it looked incredible for a two tone watch.

The dial isn't the 'graded/gradient' dials of the 5711, 5712, of 5726, correct?
It seems more of a deep, uniform blue.

It's a different blue than the 5711,12,5726. As you said, it's uniformed and not gradient.

It's still a very desirable watch for me and I hope to one day own it, if it pops up as offering.

Who would've guessed?

Ridiculous market, indeed.
