Not a big Rolex fan but between those two I would pick the Daytona as I will never get any travel time, GMT, or similar watch.

I’m a fan of both - but 5164 all day.

5164 for me. I prefer the look of a metal bracelet on Daytonas, plus the composite and comfort of Patek's tropical strap is perfection.

OP is not asking us which to choose between these two nice watches, as it seems. Or is he?

I think the "vers" suggests versus... but perhaps not.

I’ve got the same pair. Push comes to shove I’m keeping the 519 tbh. It’s just more worryfree

They're both wonderful watches, but I greatly prefer the Patek strap.

Love the 5164A (own one). That said, I'm sure the Oysterflex is not only over-engineered but superior to the "tropical strap" that comes on the 5164A just like the Rolex clasp is way better (and more secure) than the Patek deployant.

While I love my 5164...I still prefer a bracelet.

Thanks a lot for all kind comments !! YES - both are supersexy for me !
++ Not easy to compare the 'rubber' straps - the Oysterflex is smoother, really nearly perfect, the PP Tropical is with the better look imo ... I think Rolex and Patek did both very well here. I had the Aquanaut 5065, then the 5165 and now the TT 5164, always a huge pleasure to wear. HAGWE !! Werner |

Tough call! But I’d go 5164 - More useful complication and is somehow both more casual and more formal than the Daytona
