any tips for finding a 5164a...?

having difficult time locating 5164a except grey market dealers. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Of course, called over 20 patek dealers and on waiting list but no luck. Thankyou

It’s just supply and demand mate. Like most people who have the means and desire for a PP, you’re used to getting what you want but now you’re competing at a different level.

Differentiate yourself from the crowd by either spending more, showing them your passion or developing a strong relationship. All 3 together work like a charm! Sometimes there’s also a bit of luck/timing involved...

If you want the prize you have to play the game. Good luck!

Plenty of lube....and kneepads.

In all seriousness, it's going to be tricky without a prior solid relationship with an AD or a few extra bucks to be spent on a more readily available watch as a package deal.

Best of luck!

Looks like you're in Chicago. Try Razny, they're considered a boutique (i believe) and have been relatively accommodating when I've been in there, despite being from out of state

The problem I read here is the allocation on Aquanauts is down this year from last year everywhere. This increased shortage makes it very hard for ADs to sell them to new clients, to the expense of their regular VIP clients some of whom have waited up to a year or more, as much as they might want to. Too bad really as this was a very easy watch to get just a few years back.
