Thooooomas, you get right back in here. Never got to see his owner above the knees. Supposed filmed from a cat or a mouses perspective.

Fab Saturday mornings in the UK.

We only got cartoons on a Saturday morning. Only had 3 channels you see in the England.
No cable TV nonsense.
Which my elder sister thought was a luxury, as there were only 2 channels when she was smaller.

I am not sure they are screened anymore due to PC'ness. Although i have never worked out what was not PC. In regards a cat hunting a little mouse and always losing.

The big bulldog that used to protect him, can't remember his name. Butch?

I don't think my children have seen them. Will make a point of asking them.

You can still find plenty of T&J on YouTube. The earlier stuff really was outstanding.

I grew up in the UK and remember three channels.

Tom and Jerry was my favourite cartoon at the time. Think the dog was Spike?

A favorite growing up.

Retrospective ethnic bias has been cited in some of the shorts. It was certainly a different time in the ‘40’s & ‘50’s...

One of my favorites growing up. Now it’s a family favorite and my 10 month old son loves it as well as my dogs. All eyes glued on the screen when it comes on lol. Timeless classic.

It's being made into a film https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1361336/reference pretty high chance of being crap as it's the same director that made a right mess of the remake of Shaft

Tom & Jerry

Wile E Coyote & Roadrunner

I enjoy them now just as much as when a child.

You can still watch episodes in England. They are on on Boomerang which is a kids channel. They show a mix of old episodes and newer ones.

It's still a great show, especially when Spike the Bulldog and his son Tyke are in them.

I once read that, while Tom and Jerry were arch-enemies on the show, in real life, they were actually the best of friends, kind of like Jocke and Paul.

Hard to believe, I know, but stranger things have happened in Hollywood.
