How long to order a DD40 from an AD
Has anyone ordered a DD40 lately from an AD? Mine told me it was 8 to 12 weeks for a yellow one. This seems kind long. I already ordered it but kinda kicking myself for not going with Davidsw

Depends on the specific model, but that timeline isn't out of bounds. Can't go wrong with a good grey, though the AD spend is useful if you had your eye on other pieces.

Not sure how long the wait will be because it is doubtful the factory in Switzerland is running at full capacity since the pandemic may have employees not able to get to work or distancing issues in the workplace. If you were told you can order and you placed an order, then have faith the AD will get one as soon as is possible under the circumstances.

It depends on the model, some model can become available very soon but some hot model like RG with Olive dial will take much longer.

I told Wempe in NYC that I was interested in a DD40 silver diagonal motif dial and got a call back two weeks later.
