Rolex definitely selling bracelets right now. Got offered a jubilee for my datejust 36 for $2100 at a Rolex dealership. Was also told I could swap out my dial to the new blue motif ones once they’re available.

It probably will be $3,500+.

As an example, TT RG Jubilee from the DJ36 was close to $5,500CDN (~$4,300USD with 1.28 exchange rate) a couple of years ago when I asked an AD, most probably more now.

Go to the watch district in Nakano. Plenty of used Rolex boxes there.

Might have to deal a little.

I personally would buy 2, as only God knows how long Rolex will provide the option. Having one for each watch will come in handy...

I'd buy an Oysterflex for my Sub, or at least a second Glidelock clasp to use with an aftermarket strap.

That doesn’t seem crazy to me. The GMT BLRO and BLNR are $10K watches at MSRP. It’s consistent the bracelets would cost $2K. In comparison, the new Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch retails for about $6K on a bracelet. Buy the bracelet separately from Omega and it’s $900.

I don't plan to spend any penny on extra bracelet.

When I purchase the watch, I mainly based on the design of the dial, bezel and function of the watch more than the type of the bracelet (jubilee/oyster). I am satisfied with whatever come with that watch.

Spoke w/ RCS today in the US. Was told purchasing a bracelet for BLNR/BLRO (forgot to ask about CHNR) will be available in 6-12 months. Also, the associate told me that they will not ship bracelets out; one will need to have it added or swapped by RSC. Therefore, she said we will not be able to merely place an order and have it sent out. While policy is not 100% confirmed, she is under the impression that one will need to visit RSC to purchase the additional oyster or jubilee. She said they have been fielding many calls like this, and these are the orders from the top at this moment.

Take it for what it's worth, or call them when you have a free 15 minutes...

You bring up a good point. I wonder if this will be just with the introduction of the new Oyster GMT Masters in transition. So to allow Jubilee owners to buy Oysters similar to this year's GMT Master introductions. Or if Rolex will offer long-term like they did during the 5 digits. I hope longer-term, bc the bracelet option is nice. Smart move from a revenue standpoint as pointed out earlier in the thread, and also would love to see an Oysterflex as mentioned earlier too.

Rolex is trying to tighten up their parts outside. Selling more bracelet would mean more parts available.

Unless Rolex are encouraging frakenstein watches, don't think this will happen

Just talked to my AD and asked about buying an oyster bracelet for the BLNR I picked up last year from them on the jubilee. I was told I would definitely be able to purchase one from them, which they would be able to order for me from Rolex sometime in the next few months.

They've always been up front with me over the years so I have no reason to doubt them. I told them to order one for me once it becomes available to do so :D

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like Rolex is bringing back the old 5 digit approach to GMT Masters. 2 bi-color bezel options and 2 bracelet options. The bezels I guess won't be interchangeable this round of course, but still very cool by Rolex.
