Platinum Day-Date 40 with olive dial

Hey all,

Thinking of maybe swapping my ice blue dial for the olive one wich you most of the time see in the WG version. I think it looks good on the pics i have seen of it but there are nor mucht pics of the combination to be found.
Does anyone here already done it and has pics of it ? :)

Cheers

Would your AD let you order it (as it’s not an official combination)?

It's official, any wg dd40 dial can be ordered for the pt dd40, just look on rolex.com It's been that way since the dd40 came out.

I now have the ice blue diagonal stick dial.
It’s a really nice color but in some lightings its a bit bland because of the finish of the dial. I think the green color can really “pop” in the pt version and is an even more rare one to see.

Me personally, the only way to enjoy a platinum DD is with an ice blue dial. Otherwise I would opt for a watch with a fluted bezel on either a DJ or DD.

Ice blue dial is the signature of Platinum Day-Date, I would rather keep it that way.

Olive dial looks better on RG and WG fluted bezel.

Thanks.

Regarding the OP question, the Roman blue dial was just discontinued. Might be worth picking up a dial as well as I understand that Rolex lets you keep the original dial on DD40 swaps? But, yeah, the green dial is very nice!
