Hello,

Seems these guys are as good as Rolliworks in the US in case anyone needs their help with scratches, dings, etc! I haven’t needed to use them yet. I’m sure the day will come...

Hi, Yes they (Watchworks) are very good and they are a Rolex Service Centre, Rocco (owner) has spent millions on machines etc so he can carry out Rolex repair and service, also good bloke too.

I know they are a superb outfit. Are they really a RSC? I think this is a misleading statement. They are not listed as one by Rolex.

My AD in Bath has a Rolex trained and accredited watchmaker on site who is allowed to do some warranty, service and repair work on Rolex watches. They use (and pay for) the same level of equipment and training as the UK RSC in West Malling. But my AD is not an RSC and would not claim to be.

When people start blurring these things the company begins to lose credibility. It is not necessary to oversell WW Bristol and it does them no favours.

They are not an official Rolex service centre. I don’t think they claim to be.

However, they do own a lapping machine that Rolex themselves used to own, from what I know.

Thank you for the heads up!

I have been seeking to find another trust worthy service centre. Not too far away from me either!

It’s a machine (and process) that enables someone to create a certain finish.

In their case, they will have been trained to use the machine so they have expertise in gaining a Rolex quality finish.

Does all polishing create the bexley bezel? What If it’s just done on the side of the watch, for instance?

Nope. Not if the person polishing is actually interested in ensuring they don’t create an over polished edge.

Good to know, thanks. Heard a lot of good things about US outfits offering this type of service but having someone similar on this side of the pond may be useful for the future.

It’s as simple as this.

You go to a place like that in Bristol and advise them on what you want, and they will take note of instruction.

You go to RSC, and you’ll get what they want you to have, regardless of instruction.

Do they overhaul bracelets? I have one that needs doing, lots of stretch, I am going to send it to Michael Young in Hong Kong, but would much prefer a UK based restorer with great credentials.

I’m not sure - but I bet they do.

Give them a call, they’re super responsive.

I’ve been searching for other alternatives in the U.K., and also found the following company... they say they are “Rolex accredited”, although I’m not sure I understand what that means exactly ....
