Buying from overseas dealer

Hi I'm negotiating with a dealer overseas in a South American country.

I'm concerned about walking out of the store with 50k worth of watches.

Am i being too paranoid?

The opportunity crime risk in Uruguay and Venezuela is not the same, especially in today’s climate.

But anyway, just exercise caution and do deals quick. Don’t dwell and dither. I find that speed can help knock out any potential malfeasance or criminal plotting.

You can also hire some security for little $USD to accompany you.

Some dealers would either deliver to your hotel or provide you with secure transportation.

No.

Paranoid.

But some paranoia is a natural preservation instinct.

Unless its truly worth the risk, maybe don’t bother. It’s just a watch.

This. Why go out of the country for a watch? To save a few $???

I would stay in America if youre looking for a safe transaction. A lot of scammers everywhere, but nobody can help you if you get scammed overseas.

If you have good reason to worry, then don't do it.
