100% agree. I think the CB is on another level here, and I think you know it OP! |

If I had to pick one watch currently in production to be my one and only watch forever, it would be a 5167 (but perhaps on the bracelet).

I think the CB dial misleads. You think it's going to be very dynamic with a dozens of shades of blue, but it really is just navy/black when inside or neon blue if the sun/lightbulb hits it just right.
The only part of the CB that comes close to the multifaceted blue of the 5712 is the seconds subdial, because of the riveted dial. I also tired of the biomorphic duck hands. I found the watch dressier than I needed, and it seemed too formal on the supplied strap to pair with business casual and too juvenile (like i said, the blue dial can flash neon blue - distracting for others during a meeting) to pair with a suit. |

This may be the most consistently close poll in the history of polling on this site!
Currently 117-116. I don’t think there has ever been more than a 4 vote difference between the two since the poll started. |

It's hard to compare the models as the 5167A is a more casual watch compared to the CB. So, what style (sport or dress) of a watch do you need more? Also, have you tried these watches on? I have and would recommend the CB. I find it to be a modern day classic. I wish you the best with your decision.

Currently in this exact same dilemma - I am strongly considering trading my Chrono Bleu in for an Aquanaut 5167. Have had the CB since brand new from boutique for 8 months but like the user “lockout” says above, for a number of reasons the watch isn’t as versatile as it initially seems in pictures. The dial is also binary in nature - either it’s very dark or it’s a psychedelic blue. Not much gradient colour in between. Of course, it is a legend of contemporary horology but then again so is the Aquanaut...

Did OP ever decide which to get ? Thread is almost a year old ..
Have both, and 5167 gets more wrist time. Fits my casual dress/lifestyle better and has a date . But CB is phenomenal too and I think they make a great pair ... or w your 5712 , a great trio. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
