Some 3940R love...

Love this classic little dress watch. A grand complication no less.

Photos are similar, but enjoy them nevertheless.

Edit: Right click on these images and open them up in a new browser window (or tab) to see the full size versions in higher quality....

This one taken in the sunlight. I like how the rg reflects and seems to "glow"...

Is this a recent acquisition? Absolutely beautiful. IIRC, you also had the 5140p-001 (blue dial). How do these compare?

Congrats on a perfect watch.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks so much for the kind words. I've actually had this one for a few years. I got it from a dealer in Germany. The 5140P is a beauty, but the 3940 takes the cake in terms of pure elegance in the dial, IMO. I'm really partial to silver dials on rose gold. There's something about that combo that really does it for me!

I don't understand why the pix are showing smaller than the linked images. Something is re-sizing them (down) and they're loosing a lot of quality!

Oh, you know what. Just right click on them and open up the image in a new browser window or tab. You can see them full size!

I'm with you there brother! The p on on a reddish brown strap is the absolute pinnacle. Maybe some day...

Big watch in a small package. Love to have one someday.

Doesn't the elder Mr. Stern wear one?

Beautiful!!

Wow!!! I absolutely love this watch. One of the best perpetual calendars of the last 30 years and only rivaled by 3448 in my personal opinion. Enjoy it!!
