Incoming …………Nautilus 5990

My vision of watches has changed significantly during the last 2-3 weeks. Times are changing, market has changed and my taste has follow that change.
Sport watches is what is hot now, I still appreciate the formal pieces with all its romanticism because at the end that’s the essence of Patek. I think I will come back to those formal pieces again (AC, PC, Manual Chrono) is just not the time for me. I just don’t have the means to collect watches that are expensive and market is not that great.

In the meantime I found this killer piece, I always want it a Nauti with presence on SS , my first Patek was 5712/1a loved it but unfortunately my wrist didn’t agree with it. 5990 has everything I want: sport , complicated, presence , a pleasure to wear, understated and with a market.

Anyway here it is :

Huge congrats, the 5990 is awesome! Those photos are beautiful. Interesting that you’ve had a change of view in the last few weeks. Is the 5170 gone?

I am pretty close to placing an order for the 5990 myself - the only hesitation I have is whether to wait for a blue dial to be released.

Yeah it just makes a lot of sense. 5170 gone , all I have is sport watches, one complicated , one powerwatch/bada.. and one do it all.

Thanks , I intend to.
The AD had one coming ,and apparently the buyer didn’t pan out or they simple didn’t have a buyer , the true of the matter is that I was lucky and was there at the right time and just took like 2-3 weeks , unbelievable

I can't see one coming out now in the old grey/blue dial, and the new vibrant blue would surely only be on a WG or RG piece now.

Congratulations. I totally agree with what you said.
The moment I saw the watch live, I realised my earlier reservations were wrong. It is very well proportioned and beautiful.
I once again thanks Tyler for having enabled me with his postings.
This is a watch that should also be in everyone's collections.

I have been considering the 5990 for sometime and your comments about this beauty just further affirm me and hat it may be next nautilus for me.

I have the 5980 same Color dial as yours (not typical blue dial) which I also like a lots. I’m sure you will enjoy your 5990. Cheers
