Rose gold comparison

Wondering if anyone has a picture comparing the Patek rose gold to AP and Rolex?

I’ve never seen them all together.

I’m not a fan of Rolex Everose. It feels like it’s different to me. It’s raining today and I don’t feel like going to the watch store

@timepieceluvr: for what it's worth, I've noticed a variance in color/tone even across the rose gold Patek uses, for example the RG on my old 5035R was visibly quite different than that on my 5015R (which was far more "red"), and there's also a small difference between my new 5227R and 5205R. So it seems that not all Patek R is created exactly equal.

Thanks, I bet you’re right. I think the dial color affects how it looks to the eye from piece to piece too. I’ve not been a big rose gold lover but I’m kinda getting obsessed with the 5711/1R. I have to blame the Ninja and his crooked T stamp

I've seen ninja's 5711/1R in person and I can say it's really a tremendous and great-looking watch, so great in fact that it (almost) even makes up for its now infamous crooked "T-Scamp" :-).

Kidding about the T-scamp of course :-). Bottom line is there's just no way to deny that the 5711/1R is excellent all the way around. Once you see one, you'll want to get one.

Guilty as charged. But not as much as you enjoy owning crooked. :-). That’s a super nice watch.

I agree that Rolex everose is more reddish, Patek the least reddish (closer to YG than the other 2 brands) and AP RG somewhere in the middle.

same amount of gold, less of some other white metal in the mix. but according to rolex their rose gold remains the same color over time.

AP and PP are similar, maybe AP slightly yellower, Rolex is more copperish.

In my opinion, Patek RG is certainly softer and closer to YG in sight. Can's speak for 5711R, have not seen one close up. As for Rolex RG, definitely more red/copper.

Yes all 18k RG watches have the same 75% of pure gold content at the outset.

The coloration of the final RG product is due to the various other metals in the other 25%. This yields differences when you look at different brands. Also, the alloyed metals can oxidize on the surface differently over the years.

IMO......

AP have the nicest rose gold....

Patek rose gold is second to none but AP still nicer......

Rolex rose gold suck never like them....

Rolex is only good at yellow gold and it out shine the rest......

BTW.....

Minutes repeater on the rose gold Patek sound the BEST.......

Yeah..... I was going to say, that's not what we are comparing either. I think all the everose/rose golds are really close. I find the Rolex more reddish.

That’s completely oxymoronic. If something is "second to none”, then, by default, something else can’t be better than it.
