Don't do the crime unless you can't do the time. (Or at least have a perpetual calendar watch you you can at least count the years correctly)

Sounds like a snatch and run job, like a purse snatcher job on the street. Simple but effective I guess. No mention of the vendor or brand. I can't imagine where someone would fence such an item as it would be so easily identifiable. Most jewelers I know who transfer inventory are armed in some fashion. Sounds like the false security of a hosted environment didn't pan out so well this time. Hopefully the thief or thieves will be caught and get their just due...

I like the line that security was adequate. Not this time.

More than 2,000 exhibitors from 45 countries present the latest products from diamond encrusted masterpieces to modest plastic models at the fair, which runs from April 12 to 19.

I betcha some of those plastic babies looked far better than...you know what!!

You would think security would be a tad better with the number of luxury watches there.

Probably an inside job, so that the owners could get their money back via insurance company.

Maybe the watch was the Rolex Clownmaster II with diamonds and other jewels and someone stole it to save Rolex's reputation?
