Looking for a new watch.. Here is my story!
So I used to own a gmt c and a white explorer.. A deal on a boat I had to have at the time came along so ended up flipping both and ended up getting a dusky 256 with twin 200, love the boat as I do lots of fishing and diving down here in south Florida, but as of lately I started to get the itch of owning a nice watch again. I always keep an eye on this forum for the past 10 months of so but wile looking came to received the most wonderfull news a man could ever have, my wife was pregnant with a baby boy
So for a wile I told my self I was gonna wait till he was born and get it to commemorate this wonderfull time. So on Tuesday this week I went to a buddy of mine that sells watches and picked up a PAM 112 with the hopes of one day passing it on to my son LUCA, Unfortunately the Pam didn't work out there was a problem with it and my buddy gave me the money back so I'm again looking for that one especial piece that can hopefully one day be passed on to Luca! My question is I have had a gmt c and the explorer, also had a Pam 104 and a Milgauss white... Now I'm down to 3 choices do I go back to the GMT, do I get me a Sub c or do I just get another panera like base models!!! Thanks for any opinions in advance. Love this place with all the knowledge and info that u can find here.... Thanks TRF for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful forum! |

i think the sub or gmt is what i would get. i jo longer enjoy large watches..the PAM is too big for my tastes. But, you should get whatever floats your boat.

Sub makes sense, but again a GMT is about as water resistant as anyone not specifically diving would ever need...

Great choice. Maybe due to age, but a date is a must for me. Color?

Another vote for SubC. I personally prefer no date, but that's entirely up to your taste (obviously).

There's no doubt that most people will recommend the new Submariner. It's the best all-around, durable, everyday watch that you and your son will be able to enjoy day-in and day-out.
