Need input on a 18038

Just arrived but the bracelet looks off to me.
Especially the endlinks. I am not an expert. Please chime in. Also, since the watch is a 6.6mm serial, should there be a date stamp on the clasp blade?

To me it looks like the links were put back together in the wrong order.

23 links for an 18038 and 18238
End links look shaped funny on the tips. Almost like someone ground them down but its on both sides
It should have big bars on the tips of the end links. Your bracelet may have aftermarket end links or may be one of those south American bracelets maybe??

Looks like this could be an Italian knock off bracelet or the South American (Argentina) bracelet. Not totally sure.

EDIT: since it has the D’A marking I think it is indeed a South American Rolex bracelet.

Wouldn't South American bracelet have South American stamps? like mexican bracelets which are clearly marked "Hecho en Mexico".

To me, the links look more aftermarket than real - really don't like the end links (tabs on the end links of a pres band? never saw them before - but I'm not an expert in Pres bands); don't like how gravity does not completely stretch out the links; etc.

I was right, South American

"subsidiary Rolex Argentina produces some President bracelets and is easily recognizable because they lack the words Swiss Made and is stamped with the marking K18D'A"

i am currently holding my 18038 under my loupe and examining my bracelet

mine is different to yours, it does not say 'rolex patent' it says '18k geneve swiss made'

mine also does not have those other 2 stamps opposite but mine has stamps with some scales and a lady's head, and a stamp saying rolexsa under the large rolex stamp

i hope this helps.

I had 18038 with a South American bracelet and Spanish day wheel but my inner clasp was a little different endlinks look similar to mine. I sold mine eventually due to not liking endlinks.
