Lange Question - Where to buy?

All, I know the question of AD vs grey has come up numerous times but wanted to solicit some opinions specific to ALS. The greys seem to offer 25% off the bat for ALS which is pretty compelling and significantly more than an AD could ever offer. However, are there any pros for ADs (aside from standard warranty etc.) that are ALS-specific? Seems like they only produce ~5,000 watches a year so not sure if that translates to significantly better service for AD customers or anything along those lines?

Thanks!

I’m in a similar boat... I’m sorry I don’t have anything to add, but I’m also very interested in this topic. Sorry for the worthless post, just wanted to chime in and let you know someone else is pondering the same questions.

I found the Lange AD experience to be pretty good. I was given some freebies with my purchase and was advised that they can book me into the factory tour when i next happen to be in Europe.

I also like the fact that i can just leave my watch with the AD when it needs to go for service instead of arranging it myself. With that said, the ADs are clamping down on discounts so if the watch isn't a keeper than you probably want to go with the grey route to minimise the loss.

Cheers

I think AD in the US quoted me about 15% discount or so.

If you call around, ADs should be able to at least match grey prices. After all, the greys originally got their pieces from ADs.

Our local AD gives around 24% discount.

Yeah, you can easily get 15-20 on Lange. At least from my experience.

You are in NYC, why don’t you check out Cellini, they are a fantastic AD that carries Lange. See what they have. I’ve been to the Lange Boutique, which was also a good experience, but I prefer Cellini

I think the discount depends on the model, the AD, and the customer history. I’ve purchased some Langes from my AD with attractive discounts. Not sure if you’ll get the same, but happy to point you in the right direction
