Good info for me wanted something a little bit bigger so picked up the SD43 and it fits perfect just love everything about it. So I have been thinking about the JC, I have heard it sits tall and likes to wander back and forth on the wrist. I have been looking at various AD's to try one on but haven't found one as of yet. By the way my wrist is 7.75 to 8 in depending on the weather.

one thing to note, this watch should be worn snug, but not constricting; and above the wrist bone. When worn like this, the watch becomes part of your arm and is totally comfortable. With your sized wrist, you should be able to get that fit right out of the box. The shape of your wrist will be the decieding factor. A round wrist, the watch will sit taller than someone with a flat wrist.

Here I am wearing my SD43 in front of Fourtane (awaiting the opening).

SS, I can tell you clearly hate that watch

I was with you on that journey (via the forum), sure was exciting

The more I read about this deep sea the more I would want it just for the sheer technological advances and its extreme capabilities. Rolex marketing sure is evocative

I did much the same thing. Had the prior generation JC and really wanted to like it but it was too top heavy for me. The dial on it is one of my all time favorites. I bought the newest JC thinking the changes to bracelet and slimmer lugs would work better for me. But it just didn't make much difference. Traded it for SD43 which is much better suited for me.

Here is a bit of a long answer. I have been wearing my JC Deepsea daily for 2 years now. I have a 7-1/4 inch wrist. Yes the watch has some heft, its thick and fairly big at 44mm. I found that when you size it right (and there may be a little trial and error) it fits great. I never found it as top-heavy as others did because of the great fitment. It must be on the snug side but glide lock allows you to loosen it up if you get any swelling or fatigue. I wear a suit and tie to work daily and I have no issue wearing it. It will not slip under most dress cuff. I'm a bigger guy with bigger cuffs so it slide under a few but for most people it wont slide under any shirt. When im not working im very casual and it wear great as well. it wears great with anything but its a big bold watch and will be seen. I was originally worried it may be too big but try before you buy and if unsure think about it and try it on again.

Had my DSSD for 4 years now as a daily watch. Goes every where from business suits to wet suits. Had the black and now the JC.

No issues here.

I have both the black and JC previous generation and find them fine daily wearers.

Have had the 126660 for 5 months. I also have a Daytona RG that I like a lot, but the JC gets majority of wrist time. I don't have huge wrists but am 6'5" w/ medium build so it never feels too large. Plus, with the glidelock you can easily make it fit to your liking. Unrelated to comfort... the blue dial never gets old.

Comparison - about to go out with my wife, so after setting her time and winding, decided to take a couple of pics.

The difference in thickness is massive.

David and Goliath. Great shots, it really puts the size into perspective.

I’ve owned it twice. The Black and the JC. Best dial, just too thick for me in the end. I’m awaiting my SD43, seems to be the best of both worlds between the Sub and DSSD.

A weekend wearer for me, and I have big wrists. To talk and bulky for a suit for me.

Mine gets the most wrist time of all my watches. I wear it (week) daily. Weekends are for PM. I am one of the fortunate ones that doesn’t have to wear a suit. However, for a suit it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Some D-Blue looks

Normal awesomeness

When passing through a shadow the lume kicks in

Doing its best “Smurf” impression

Smurfy with even a bluish bezel

Going casual

Love the colour of the blue in the sun. Mines not a daily bet gets an outing every weekend. Never had any problems with the size and weight.

the domed saphire (even more domed on the 116660 than on the 126660)
the clasp!
the dial
the green writing
the construction

a true masterpiece
