Have you tried vintage watch collecting from other brands besides Rolex?

Hi, just wondering how many here collect vintages from other brands too besides Rolex and if so which brands? What are your feelings on other vintage brands you have tried collecting v/s Rolex vintage collecting?

Also would love to hear from those who collected various brand vintages before going 100% vintage Rolex and reasons why.

Mid 40's Pierce chrono because it has my name on it.

Seiko's because of the diversity of models and relative inexpensive hit to the wallet.

I would like to go for a Submariner Ref. 5512 "pointed crownguards", but tough to get nowadays.

But don't worry, it WILL happen, just a question of time

Wow, a watch with your name is awesome, saved you from etching it on the caseback:), lucky you weren't named Comex though;). Those Seikos are beauties.

You mean a 4 liner 5512 era one like one that's available with Andrew Shear or an earlier one? Am sure you will find the right one to add in.

Though I had always focused in specializing in one brand (Rolex), I also own several other various brands, and found special enjoyment in the Omega brand.

Omega offers a very good quality, recognized brand, diversity of interesting models, some of them, true classics, and you can build a nice collection with a fraction of investment required with Rolex.
Just my point of view.
Kind regards, Abel.

Yes. I failed.

Rolex, for me is something dear and I cannot stray away from. I do love Omega and Audemars and Patek (just not the enthusiast)

It's my opinion Rolex collector's are just cooler.
