I guess we are all a little crazy...
I recently spoke to someone who just purchased a NOS U Series Tritium Dial 16600 Sea Dweller....
The watch was apparently purchased new and then put away and never worn??? The fellow I spoke with has always wanted a Sea Dweller and was very pleased with his purchase..... He then tells me that he can't bring himself to remove the stickers and wear the watch as it will then no longer be NOS. And the really crazy thing was.....I understood....

To wear the beauty, or lose 30-50% in value ?

I would not buy a NOS vintage watch for that exact reason. While I can see the
point from a collector's perspective, I personally much prefer some patina on a watch I can wear and enjoy =)

I would love to get myself a virgin NOS vintage watch and spoil it myself, surely not to keep in a locker.

Think about that poor U-serial Seadweller............Wanting to be worn all these years, and then tucked-away in a cool dark place.......never loved.

me too id wind it occasinally take it out to look at and put it away
no way would it leave the house lol a pal has a stickered up unworn 20 odd yr old white dial zenith daytona too in the same condition and theres this minty mint as new NOS 1680 red ive been trying to buy for over a yr , so yeah we are all nuts

This is all very familiar guys, I know people who don't drive their expensive cars because they don't want put kms on them and want keep them in showroom condition;)..some lucky fella eventually buys them a few years later and gets to enjoy them in "As new" condition. But whatever rocks your boat!:)

watches should be worn and cars should be driven. A few years ago I came accross a 1978 Corvette Indy Pace Car that had 800 miles on it. The guy had bought it new and started it up once week and drove around the block and then put it back in the gararge. Jeeesh-
