Let's see a Sub or a Sub. If it's between green and black and you're only going to have one, then black. I love the LVc and think it's a good second or third watch.

I concur with other poster, you may want to look at GMTIIc. That is a great watch.

Choices--it's a good thing to have

I personally prefer the classic black Sub.
I had the Sub LV C (which is a beauty), it was love at first sight. Bought it in an instant. But I soon realised its more difficult to match clothing, compared to the one in Black.
Sold the Sub LV C, and I didn't look back since then.

The Sub is the classic sport everyday watch and I don't think you can go wrong with that choice. But the Hulk is a great looking watch in its own right.

For a 2nd Rolex do I go the more classic route and take the Sub or do I go the more interesting route and go for the green?
Sylvester,

Just to clarify, you are looking to decide between the green ceramic submariner (116610LV) and the black ceramic submariner (116610)?

There is also the 16610 LV which is the anniversary sub with black face and green bezel insert. This insert can easily be changed in and out with any other color insert.

Actually I am deciding between the 116610LV and the 114060.

I don't have an issue with matching the green because I only wear solid white shirts. Whether it's to work. Under a suit or even a polo. I only wear white. It's a taste of mine. So it just comes down to which one i want.

I'm torn. Between a stunning GREEN watch. And a sharp/ crisp looking black clean watch that I could wear everyday.

I have a DJII WHT GLD BZL SLVR DIAL that I wear as a more formal watch.

Gotcha! Ok so either the hulk or black no-date ceramic.

My only recommendation would be to see and try on the green. Some people like the green of the dial and bezel and some don't. And others seem to like the dial more than the bezel or visa versa.

If this is a watch you are looking to keep for a lifetime, I would say go with the black sub.

If you don't mind the thought of possibly taking a chance and maybe flipping down the road, go with green.

I do not use the GMT function on a regular basis. I do use the bezel to mark time seveal times a day on tasks. I like the bi-directional bezel on the GMT.
