Do you think the dial on the DSSD is too small for the watch?

Like to hear your opinions. The watch is large but the dial & hands seem too small in proportion.

I think it's perfect.. I love my dssd.. The only thing that I have issue with is the weight.. After I wear one of my other watches...

No the ring lock text gives the watch a bit of character, but the bracelet is far too thin tho tapering to 16mm instead of 18 or 19mm is a crazy design decision on such a thick watch.

I love the watch. I wear a 16600. I know the DSSD is much larger, but is the dial the same as the SD in size?

I disagree. The dial and hands are perfect. Put a dssd next to a explorer ii and you will see that the hands and dial are smaller thought the watch itself is bigger. I prefer it that way - never got used to the Explorer ii maxi hands each time I've tried it.

The ring on the inside makes it look smaller visually, and the tapered bracelet shouldn't be so small.

Other than that its not to bad. Oh other than they should release the dssd challenge !!!

It would be nicer to remove the inner rehaut (with OEGV text) and make the dial bigger but it still works for me.

GdayMate..

Do you own a DSSD? I find the tapering makes the watch very comfortable to wear for long hours (might not look as macho but this is a classic case of function over form) compared to say a Panerai 328 where there are no tapering nice too look at just like a Breitling but makes the whole watch too much to wear for long hours in a stretch.. This is of cos just IMHO..

In my eyes I see the dome crystal and slightly angled ceramic bezel are integrated piece so it is part of the "dial" so it is a perfect size and those hands are all so compact into the watch makes it look very tough visually.

My only down point is the thickness of the watch, but that is only when I out it on after no wearing for weeks, but after a few hours, once I adjusted to it, it is certainky one of my all time favorite Rolex.

HAGWE everyone... James

Dial is a 1-2mm too small I think but theres nothing wrong with the proportion it could just do with being bigger

The dial is fine.
It's the bracelet that's the problem for me. A watch of that size should have bigger tapers toward the lugs.
I've tried it on plenty of times but it just doesn't look right to me. Which is a shame.

could be bigger. I agree that the inner ring could be replaced by a bigger dial.that said, I love it still.

I haven't noticed that. The dial is proportional to the Sub.

I have owned a DSSD, Subc and a couple of 44mm Breitlings and the DSSD is the worst bracelet as the thin bracelet looked strange and felt uncomfortable and would dig in to my wrists when the top heavy head rocked on my wrist. It wasn't a big deal but I ended up selling it for the Subc as that is much better balanced.
