Icon8 Hints changing bracelet

Do any of the kind members of this forum, have any hints changing bracelets? I see my watch repair man change bracelets with no problems, yet I, for the life of me, spend 1/2 hour trying to change to a leather strap. Please help

I've always been able to do it but it's never been easy. I'm expecting delivery today of the Horotec Springbar Pliers and hopefully this little tool will make the job much easier.

Rolex Glidelock Change

Can anyone give me a link on how to remove the glidelock clasp from my sub. Want to mount the rubber b strap and put the clasp on. Any help would be much appreciated. Happy Memorial Day

I tape the lugs and use one end of a bergeon spring bar tool to release end 1 of the spring bar and the other end of the tool to release end two then pop it out. I really should get a proper tweezer like tool.

You want the Horotec as the metal bracelet is so tight that normal one side at a time is a bit more challenging. In addition, the Horotec reduces the possibility of scratching the case and just makes things easier in general.

One thing that I picked up that has made strap/bracelet changes much easier is a magnifying visor. I got it from ofrei.com, and it has an LED light that swivels so you can direct it where you like, and four different lenses for magnification up to 2.5x. You'd be surprised at how much easier it goes when you can see what you're doing and not trying to hold a loupe in with one eye. Best $45 I've spent on anything watch-related and I've been collecting watches on and off for 30+ years.

Find the thinner tweezers easier to use for anyone that needs living in Europe -

Edit - looks like will deliver worldwide and postage seems reasonable

Ofrei tool 6875 does not work. Do not get. They do not offer the right size forks for the new oyster bracelets.

7825 does work.

Not correct, the 7825 works perfectly. I got mine about two months ago and it fits my 6 digit reference submariners just fine.

Very nice. Tudor should include those with the Black Bay and others.

All in the tools my friend. Forked over a good 150 for Bergeon and no regrets.
