Congratulations to the OP.

In future, can we dub this miraculous skipping of the Daytona waiting list "Pulling a Clymer?"

That's a good one and something which I think could stick!

Congrats to the OP. I can't wait to see the photos.

Didn't mean to hurt your feelings. And I asked about what retail is. Didn't ask him what he paid. You're right though, PM should have been the way to go.

Retail here's fine, personal price, use PM.

Incoming Daytona Ceramic...

I wore my old one to the AD for comparison...

I still love it, but the new one has one distinct advantage: the legibility of the sub-dials is much improved!

The legibility of the ceramic bezel is also far greater then this model.

Incoming Daytona Ceramic...

We just left the AD (my nine year old daughter is keeping me company) and are now at a restaurant next door for an early dinner. Here is my new watch...

My AD is near LA, a Ben Bridge. Their district, which includes Southern California and parts of Arizona, roughly 70 stores, got 4 of the new Daytonas.

I've been buying watches from this particular AD for a few years now. They get scores of calls each day about this watch. Mine is the first one they received.

The watch is a delight, as expected. I would have gladly waited for it, but luck intervened!
