93150 fine adjustment question
I apologize for the lack of pictures, but I have a question on the fine adjustment of this clasp.
There are two sets of holes, one where the actual bracelet attaches, and one where the diver's extension "locks" into place. But I need to make my bracelet looser by one hole. When I move it back to the last hole (loosest setting) then the diver's extension can not reach the second set of holes to lock in. I cannot believe Rolex would include a useless adjustment hole in this clasp, so what am I doing wrong? Thank you and I hope what I wrote makes sense! |

When you are in the other 3 holes, does the rivet (which locks into those second set) snap into the corresponding hole?

The extension is in the wrong pin position.
You need to move it to the end pin holes (one position to the right in your pix). This will give you the correct adjustment range. Hang on, I'll take a pix of my SD. Ah, I see the issue you have.

That is interesting.
It does appear that the extension is shorter than normal.

Thank you, everyone. This is an older bracelet that was on a 1675. The clasp was in rough shape so I had RSC replace it.
I just compared it to my 14060m, and the diver's extensions are, indeed, different lengths. So apparently, Rolex lengthened the diver's extension when they split the fine adjustment holes, as opposed to the old style clasp where there was no separation. I guess the only way to loosen the bracelet is to add a link back in. I'm surprised no one at RSC mentioned this to me, but it's not too big a hassle. Interesting, though! |
